About

I’m a Kansan — was born and lived most of my life in Hutchinson, then in 1992 moved to Dodge City for a few years, then to Wichita for a couple, but have resided in the small town of Newton since 2002. My sweet husband, Jerry, and I have been married fifteen years (second for both of us). Our kids are all grown, and we have 8 grandchildren all together. Always number one in my life are God and my husband. If not for them, I would go completely insane, crawl into a hole and never be seen again. I am not afraid to say I am a Christian, but I’ll be the first to admit that I’m in no way perfect, nor do I expect to ever reach that lofty goal. I live with several health issues (see this post if you want to know). I’ve been working at-home as a graphics designer and various other web related things since 1999, when I had to come up with something to be able to stay home as caregiver for Jerry when he became disabled. On the side I design digital scrapbooking products for Scrapbook MAX! During the cold winter months I’m usually working on our family history/genealogy (no they are not the same thing). In the spring and summer, and sometimes into the fall, I spend a lot of time gardening. I’m an avid photographer and usually have my rinky-dink, cheap-o Walmart camera with me year-round wherever I go. I also love to sew and quilt, but my number one enjoyment is to read, read, read! And lastly, yes, my screen name of “knzus” (which I’ve used for many years) came about because of the literal way I pronounce the name of my home state.
